CEPA Applauds Policy Developments
A statement from the CEPA Executive Director on the recent developments of the policy and legal framework in the environmental sector
CEPA celebrates the adoption and enactment of important policies and legislation by Government of Malawi. These include: National Climate Change Management Policy, National Disaster Risk Management Policy; National Agriculture Policy; revised National Gender Policy; National Irrigation Policy; Environment Management Act (2017); and Land related Acts. In addition, GoM recently launched the second edition of a National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan; and Theory and Procedural Catchment Management Guidelines (Volume I and Volume II).
We are proud that many of our aspirations are reflected in these policy instruments. We look forward to contributing towards their implementation.
